Welcome aboard!

We are thrilled to have you join the Seadog fleet.

This guide explains how we will get your website up and running smoothly, from setup to support.

1. Getting Started

Step 1 - Domain setup

If you already have a domain:

We will help you point it to our servers.

If you need a new domain:

We can register and manage it for you.

For streamlined operations, it is recommended your domain be transferred to us. That way you can leave all the day-to-day management to us, and we can manage renewals on your behalf. Note that you retain ownership of your domain at all times, and can transfer it away if you wish.

Step 2 - Website deployment

Depending on your plan:

• We will upload your existing site, or
• Build your new site from scratch (for design clients).

Step 3 - Cloudflare protection

All sites include Cloudflare for speed and security.

We will configure DNS, SSL, and caching automatically.

2. Your Hosting Plan

You will be on one of these:

• Seadog Basic - simple, reliable hosting
• Seadog Standard - performance plus priority support
• Seadog Premium - advanced features plus uptime SLA

Each plan includes backups, monitoring, and NZ-based support.

3. Communication and Support

• Support is available via [email protected]
• Standard response time: within 24 hours
• Premium clients receive priority response
• For urgent issues, mark your email URGENT in the subject line

4. Maintenance and Updates

We handle:

• Server updates
• Security patches
• Website content updates
• Backups
• Monitoring

You handle:

• Letting us know if you would like any changes.

5. Billing and Renewals

Hosting is billed monthly or annually in NZD.

For monthly billing, an automatic payment is strongly recommended to ensure continuity of service.

Website design fees are one-off unless ongoing support is included.

6. Security and Backups

We perform daily backups and monitor uptime.

However, you may request a copy of your website at any time for your own peace of mind.

7. Cancellation and Data

You can cancel anytime with 30 days' notice.

After cancellation, your data will be retained for 14 days before deletion.
